Brennan Carter is an in-demand trumpeter, improviser, composer, and educator based in Seattle. Over the past decade, he has made his mark recording and touring with his band, The Dip, as well as collaborating on various other projects, including the electronic duo ODESZA.

Brennan's musical journey has taken him to over 30 countries, where he has performed on many of the world’s premier stages. He has had the privilege of working with notable artists such as SYML, Allen Stone, Calexico, K.Flay, Jamie Cullum, Sinkane and Beat Connection. Additionally, his musical contributions have extended to movie soundtracks, notably including "Concrete Cowboys," a film produced by and starring Idris Elba. On the small screen, Brennan's appearances include shows like Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and CBS Mornings.

In Seattle, Brennan actively contributes to the vibrant music scene as a member of Wayne Horvitz’s 'Royal Room Music Collective Ensemble'. In 2022, he produced and released an instrumental jazz record, Many Moons, with collaborator Scott Flynn.

Brennan holds degrees in Jazz Studies and Music Education from the University of Washington, where he studied trumpet with mentors Cuong Vu and Allen Vizzutti.
